A Reminder for Parents:

The Library is a public building, and as such, it is open to and frequented by a wide variety of people.  Not everyone who enters the building or communicates with your children via the Internet has the well-being of your children in mind.

It is a parent’s decision to allow their child to have a library card.  As a parent or guardian, you should be aware that library policy permits all children access to all materials in our collection and to unfiltered Internet access. As a parent or guardian, if you choose to limit your child’s access to content whether at home, in the library or in any other location, you should make this desire known to your child.  If you are concerned that your children might be exposed to material which does not meet your personal standards, please accompany them when they use the library.  The library cannot withhold materials from, or restrict the access of any library patron, regardless of age.
