Interlibrary Loan and IA Shares have resumed!
There is a new program in Iowa that allows us to provide Interlibrary Loan services at no charge to our patrons.
If there is a book or audiobook you would like to borrow, but it is not in our collection, you can do one of three things:
1. Borrow the book through Interlibrary Loan-- simply see a librarian during normal hours and have the title and author information ready. As long as the book is more than 12 months old, it will likely be available somewhere in Iowa to borrow. (Newer books are generally not available for the first 12 months.)
2. Borrow the book through Bridges, our online audio and e-book service through the Overdrive app. All you need is your library card and the Overdrive app.
3. Place your item on the request list. Once a month, Library Director Kris Murphy will go through the request list and decide which things fit both our collection needs and our budget. Any librarian can help you place your suggestion on the request list; placing a request does not guarantee that the book or movie will be ordered.
